Eine alte Frau sitzt neben mir, fast sieht sie aus wie eine Hexe, abgemagert, schmutzig. Sie schaut mich an, zeigt dann auf die Kinder und singt flüsternd unverständliche Worte. "Wo sind wir hier? Was passiert hier?" frage ich sie. "Ach du dumme Deutsche... Weißt du denn nicht wo wir hier sind? Was das hier ist?" sagt sie in gebrochenem Deutsch.
"Nein."
"Wir sind zum Sterben hier! Riechst du nicht den Tod, den Rauch?"
Und plötzlich wandelt sich meine Panik in endlose Traurigkeit. Seltsamerweise schlägt mein Herz nun ruhig, ich zittere nicht mehr.
Dann sollen wir wieder weiter gehen.
